Some 1200 pictures to scroll through the instantanees of the Collection of Delphine and Adrien Noblot, Colonial Gendarme. Titled "A life in Indochina", the collection hosted by the National Institute of Art History (INHA) covers the period of 1904 to 1937 of the life of the Noblot's family and their friends. On this Christmas day of 2024, I found myself spending half a day trying to find people and places I might recognized, gently swung by emotions of what might have been. I was particularly drawn by the costumes - whether of the ethnic groups of Laos or dresses wore by the colons. Check this out:
