In 1998 we organized an exhibition of Lao Wedding Costumes in Vientiane. It was a wonderful exhibit showing the beauty of silk, golden embroideries and fine traditions. A catalog was made which has become this April 2016 an ebook "Un Mariage Lao" (A Lao Wedding). It is a 250-page narration of a Lao Wedding Ceremony with 245 illustrations and photos coming from private albums of Lao Grand Families.

I am born into one of these families, the Souvannavong, and inherited from my elders a few boxes of archives and lots of memories. It is with a sense of duty to honor them and to pass on some of the things I know that I have written this book. Iwish you a wonderful journey into our culture.
